Friday Beat: Jason Hewlett, fresh back from rehab on his ankle injury was overpowering for most of the first game and just as King Friday hoped, the bats came alive for the home opener with Hewlett, N. Coffee and Sharlow going yard. The second game was a pitchers duel with N.Coffee throwing a shut out for his first ever start on the mound. Sharlow came through with the late inning heroics to hit a solo shot to give Friday the games only run and the surprising sweep of the series.

Friday Beat: Fresh off their second series sweep of the season King Friday had the daunting task of facing el Diablos. Hewlett had another strong performance and held the Blos at bay for the first few innings and took a small victory in keeping them to 5 runs, but did not get any run support from his fellow Friday’s. In the second game King Friday decided to go Co-ed to add a little fun factor for the day as two lovely ladies joined the roster, but it was not enough to distract the menacing Diablos. Friday did however have a ray of sunshine with N. Coffee adding his second HR of the day and Hewlett adding his 5th and 6th HRs on the season.
