3 Good Questions w/ Captain Hollister

Q: The Wolfpack are already considered villains yet you have never even played a game, do you like having targets on your back already?
A: We aren't villains, we just wanna slug beers and play Wiffleball.

Q: What is the Wolfpack pitching situation like? I assume Mark Brannan will be in the rotation, but who else will pitch?
A: Nicco will probably pitch some along with Piasecki, and then of course our secret weapon will be our ace. We probably will land somewhere in the wildcard, or at least I would hope so.

Q: You landed in the Garcia just like you wanted. Do you expect to compete for a division title, or just a wildcard spot?
A: The only way we don't get in the wildcard is if Matty D has a complete mental breakdown when he has his baby, or Greg finally snaps and kills a dude.
3 Good Questions w/ Captain Linebrink

Q: Last year you guys only won 5 games, but came close to upsetting a lot of good teams. What are the Islanders expectations this season?
A: We were a bit off last year before Mundel got us straightened out. He'll be with us the whole year. And, we're holding open tryouts among Core Detroit's weekly audience of 100,000 +. I bet there's a ringer or two that can help us hold our own in the Ringler. I'm saying 18 wins this year.

Another point: after the winter Boll YMCA indoor league championship, we know how to win as a team. I remember one day Will and I both threw no hitters there. We're ready to bring it this year.

Q: Mundel is considered a top 5 pitcher in the league, and now will have an entire season to show his stuff. Lets say he pitches 14 games, how many do you think he is capable of winning?
A: Let's not mince words: Mundel is capable of winning 14/14. Remember last year when he pitched an even no hitter against Bischoff through 7 innings? Well, after this off season, I think that's going to be Will on his worst day. I've seen accuracy and movement you could only imagine. Will Mundel will be HANDS DOWN the BEST pitcher in the Ringler AND WSEM this year! And yeah: if he pitches 14, we've already won 14.

Q: Opening night in Detroit will once again happen on April 25th. Belgian and the Squirrels are ineligible, but do you have a team you'd like to play opening night?
A: The Balls! I think a series against our friends, the Holy Balls, would be a great way to start the season.

3 Good Questions w/ Captain Paquin

Q: The Warriors made the biggest noise this offseason which made your signings of Dennis Pearson and Dylan Braden fly under the radar. What kind of impact do you expect the DD Boys to have?
A: Well Carl, all veterans in this league know what kind of damage Dill and Dee can do with the bat. I expect Dill to hit 20 bombs this year and Dee to break his own record, hitting 30.

Q: I expect your rotation to be Dennis and yourself, but do you plan on pitching Lewis, Corbs, or Dylan at all?
A: That's correct, Dee and myself will be the one-two punch that will shoulder the load of innings pitched. I expect us to start all of ours games this season, pending extra inning games that forces one of us to miss a start. Dennis and I have been working together in the off-season I expect for the league to see Dennis Pearson circa 2011. There will be fewer walks, hits, and more strikeouts. His arm and accuracy are both back. Dylan may make some relief appearances along with a rookie who has pitched in Wiffle leagues before. We have not formally announced him to the team yet.

Q: It’s rumored you are staying at the Holy Grounds in Wyandotte, do you plan on making any changes/improvements to it this season?
A: We are planning to stay at the Holy Grounds in Wyandotte, which is convenient for all members of the team. We may make some minor field changes but the location is the same.

3 Good Questions w/ Captain Sessions

Q: You said on the January podcast you wanted Ringler, and Alexia shared those sentiments before the spin. Now that you are in the Ringler, are you truthfully happy?
A: I'm very excited to play in the Ringler Division. De-facto Captain Ryan Alexia is correct, we wanted to be in the Ringler Division all along because we feel we have a team to complete with Whiteford and Westside. In fact, I am confident that with a combination of our teams intelligence and brawn, we can be unstoppable.

Q: Your team has the perfect balance of veterans, rookies, and rookie/veteran Zac Adams. Pitching is probably your biggest concern, but do you feel you have the arms to compete?
A: I'm more concerned about how long it takes to get from Hillsdale / Morenci to the Detroit area, than I am about our pitching. We will be just fine.

Q: After siting out 2013 the Squirrels come back to a very competitive league. What would ultimately make you a happy captain? Champions or bust? Playoffs or bust?
A: I'm not sure what would be a bust if we are playing in our favorite division and we are having fun.
