Aces Beat:
The #2 vs. #3 semifinal has been highly anticipated, as it showcases an intense (if quiet) rivalry between the defending WSEM champions and a hard-charging expansion team- not to mention the rivalry between the reigning Clown Shu winner and one of the league's premier pitchers.

The Ducks, possessing home-field advantage, traveled to Whiteford for the first two games. Dennis Pearson got into trouble early, loading the bases in the first two innings before escaping. In the third, however, he walked in a run; he then allowed two in the fourth before being relieved. Austin Bischoff thrived despite cloudy and drizzly conditions, tossing his second perfect game of the season and the first ever in WSEM playoff history.

In the second game, the Aces jumped on Dylan Braden early, pushing across three in the second and one in the third with a combination of walks, hits, and aggressive baserunning. Evan Bischoff pitched well, but had his own perfect game bid broken up by a Josh Nagorski home run the in the third. After he walked a runner with two outs in the fourth and went down 3-0 to the next batter, captain Austin Bischoff decided not to take any chances with the three-run lead and brought in relief specialist Joel Crozier. While Joel completed the walk to bring the tying run to the plate, he struck out the next batter and pitched a shutdown fifth for the save. Whiteford will take a 2-0 series lead to the Swamp in what is likely to be another Bischoff vs. Pearson battle.
