Islanders Beat:

King Friday Beat: Two winless teams met in Detroit, as King Friday played the Islanders for the first time this season. Mike Myers started off game 1 with a solo HR and the team never looked back. Newly acquired Jason Hewlett pitched a gem to get the game 1 win, as Friday won 9-3. Game 2 was one for the books, as 35 combined runs were scored. Mike Myers got his first win of the season and played excellent defense in both games. The Coffee brothers combined for 10 hits in the series and rookie John Sharlow added seven hits of his own. After only having one total hit and zero runs in their first four games, King Friday had 32 hits and 32 runs against the Islanders.
