The Squirrels faced off against the Seamen for the first time, and we turned back the clock to 2005 and played some 3 on 3 wiffleball. The Squirrels borrowed Chris Kincaide once again to team up with Coffee and Corbett. The Seamen had Dennis Pearson of the Ducks, David Buhr of Belgian, and Austin Crabtree. Pearson, looking to get some work in before the NWLA tournament took the mound for the Seamen, and Kincaide started for the Squirrels. Going into the 4th inning, the Squirrels had a 1-0 lead, but then the flood gates opened. The Seamen scored seven runs in the bottom of the 4th inning, and that would be enough for them to take the 7-1 win.
Game 2 saw Brandon Corbett take the hill against Austin Crabtree. Crabtree pitched three scoreless innings for the Seamen, and then Buhr pitched the rest of the game. The Seamen had a 1-0 lead with 2 outs in the 5th inning, but the Squirrels finally got their bats going and had a three run rally to go up 3-1. In the bottom of the inning, it was a race against an incoming storm. Corbett was able to record an out, and then gave up a solo home run to Pearson. The rain and wind was then too strong to play on, so they had to delay the game until the storm cleared. When the game resumed, Corbett struggled to find his control and the Seamen were able to score two more runs to win the game 4-3.
