The Donkeys sweep the Commandos in two very different games. Game one was a blowout three-inning mercy in which Matt Murtha teed off for 4 HR and 13 RBI. Joe Spagnuolo also hit in an additional 3 RBI, while hitting his first HR of the young season. Eric Pfefferle supplied the only offense for the Commandos in the disastrous loss. Game two, however, went the distance and then some; with the Donkeys squeezing out a 6-5 win in extra innings. Spagnuolo and Murtha both added a home run earlier in the game, but it was Alex Shore who hit a game-tying single in the top of the fifth and Joe Seto coming through the same way in the seventh to give the Donkeys their second win on the day. You always love to see a team come back and be very competitive after a rough loss, especially in a rivalry series, and the Commandos supplied that in game two. The Donkeys go home - more accurately onto Ottawa Lake - with the sweet taste in their mouths, though.
