The new NWLA rankings are out, and WSEM has a new team joining the ranks. Cheers for the Westside Warriors! These guys put a beating on the previously 19th ranked Squirrels last week, and continued their winning ways this week against the Commandos with a lengthy extra innings battle followed by a quick mercy. It took them awhile, but as soon as they started playing games they got noticed. Their only 2 losses so far come to the red hot, first-place DeLoppes who have climbed to the highest rank yet of any WSEM team, #12. In further DeLoppes news, Chad and his guys are currently the Hot Team of the Week in the NWLA, unseating Superman's Wheelchair of the Potomac Wiffleball League. 7-1, riding a 7-game winning streak, and playing superb wiffleball all around the DeLoppes definitely deserve the title. For this honor they get their name done up in lights in the right-hand column of the NWLA frontpage. Cheers for the DeLoppes! Lastly on the national scene, Git r' Done, having not played in a couple weeks, has dropped from #22 to #31.
In more local news we are rolling through games this weekend with warm weather, finally! Check out the wildly disparate results from Friday nights #46 Warriors vs. Commandos games in the previous post. Squirrels vs. #31 Git r' Done this afternoon at Frenchtown, and then Frenchtown again hosts the Mattseals vs. Ass Kickers vs. #12 DeLoppes tri-meet on Sunday.
Finally, when John Hill and Carl tire of the nice weather they will be heading in to do WSEM Podcast #3, which should be up early next week.
