   El Diablos Informe: Game 1 was a pitchers duel between Skinner and Mike Myers and saw a 2-0 victory for el Diablos thanks to and RBI single from Tomlinson and a solo shot from Skinner. Unfortunately for King Friday and Murtha, Game 2 saw a lot more action. Everyone for el Diablos went deep. Skinner tacked on home runs 2, 3, and 4 while Mark Phillips hit his first career home run and grand slam. King Friday Beat: Game 1 was the all Skinner show with him pitching a shutout and going 5 for 5. King Friday gets a good outting from mike myers and keep it close. Game 2 was all new faces, same old story for King Friday. Murtha served up more grand slams than Denny's as Friday gets mercied in 2 innings. |

   Holy Balls Beat: To no one's surprise the Swamp was built in a completely new fashion, with batters hitting to the north instead of southwest as had been slated. Annoyances with how the Ducks handle such league matters aside, the Balls jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in game one. Two two-run home runs off the bat of Pearson erased that lead, and he caught fire on the mound - shutting the Balls down after the first inning. Game 2 similarly saw a pitcher running the show. Paquin shut out the high-powered Ducks lineup, and helped out his cause with a two-run double in the third: the only runs of the game. Going on the road and splitting with one of the better teams in WSEM is a good start to the season. Ducks Beat: "Yaaaaaaaaaaaaay"... "Dammit." |
