Game 1 Video:

Friday Beat: The wind was the pitchers best friend at the Den on Saturday; any ball hit into the air was an easy out regardless of how hard it was hit. Murtha’s second outing of the year was a huge turn around from his first giving up only 1 run in 7 innings, a Walk off Home run to Woods. The big story though was the 7 inning Perfect game pitched by the Warriors rookie pitcher K. Haffy. The second game was much like the first with both pitchers throwing gems until some late inning miscues in the outfield for King Friday allowed the winning run to score in the bottom of the 5th.

Warriors Beat: Game 1: High Winds. Pitching duel between Haffey and Murtha. Haffey gets Perfect game on Nick Woods walk off HR to opposite field. Game 2: High Winds. Pitchers duel between Bones and Carl Coffee. Warriors struggle at the plate. Woods with walk off RBI singIe. KF with great defense.

Islanders Beat: Ahoy there! The black spot was upon us Islanders as the doldrums evaded. Me ship's Jolly Roger stood straight at the batter like a lookout. Well sink me! General'ly these fair winds would be leavin' me hands a jollyboat, but not this time. "Use yer deadlights me hearties," I yelled! But 'twas as if every pitch was with an extra 10 knots to the aft. Yarrr. At the end, those blaggard, Bilge-sucking, black spot-cursing, landlubber Warriors pillaged our only chance at the booty. It's no worry - we'll feed the fish with those scurvied lassies and send 'em to Davy Jones' locker when they come to the Island! HARR!! Now to split the mainbrace... Fair Winds!

Warriors Beat: Game 1: High Winds. Pitchers duel between Linebrink and Haffey. Shore with go ahead RBI single in the 4th. Game 2: High winds. Warriors bats awaken. Seto returns and gives up two runs. Bones was dominant on the mound. 10-0 mercy. Warriors give up no runs on the day.
