- The 21-star talent cap has been modified to a $210 salary cap.
- Fake money. Not real money.
- Captains' and franchised players' star ratings will be multiplied by $10 to get their dollar value against the salary cap.
- You must have 6 players on your roster by the end of the auction draft.
- If a captain franchises a player, this means he must win bids for 4 players.
- If no franchise player, then he must win bids for 5 players.
How can I increase a bid?
- Bids can be increased to the next $1, $5, or $10 increment.
- Example A) The bid is $20. You may increase to $21, $25, or $30.
- Example B) The bid is $36. You may increase to $37, $40, or $45.
What is the maximum amount I can bid on a player?
- You must leave $10 for every roster spot left to be filled.
- Example C) Your first bid. Your captain and franchised player cost $70 against the cap. You have $140 total to spend, but with 3 additional spots remaining to be filled after, you can bid at most $110 at this time; leaving $30 for 3 additional picks.
- Example D) Your third bid. Captain and franchise cost $70 against the cap, your first two picks combine for another $86. With only 1 roster spot remaining after this pick, you can bid up to $44 on this player; leaving $10 for your final pick.
How will players be put up on the auction block?
- Teams will take turns nominating a player, and the team that nominates will place the opening bid.
- The opening bid may be set at anywhere between $1 and the dollar value of the player's star rating (stars * $10).
- The first team to nominate will be the team that had the lowest finish in the 2014 season. We will work our way from worst to best, and repeat in that order.
- New franchises will be placed in the slot of the team they took over: Werner's team = Warriors, Alex sYas = Belgian
- 1) Islanders, 2) Holy Balls, 3) Wolfpack, 4) Werner, 5) Flying Squirrels, 6) Alex sYas, 7) El Diablos, 8) Wicked Aces
Can I trade a player for draft funds?
- Yes, teams may trade part of their $210 cap for a player or players, and vice versa.
- NO ADDITIONAL funds may be used or acquired in the process.
- Non-monetary incentives may be included in these deals.
- The same rules will govern the maximum amount of the cap that can be traded: teams must remain $10 under the cap for every roster spot they have yet to fill. Teams may not exceed $210 in picks and trades.
- As always: all trades must be approved by the front office.
